I was looking at my stats and realized this post was going to be my 555th one. I thought that was a cool thing.
Yesterday I hosted a baby "meet and greet" for my friend Stacy.
Her daughter Sammy and Keaton are in the school class.
She had a beautiful little boy Peter that I didn't get one picture of because the only time I took any pictures, I was holding him in the sling.
And, of the few pictures that I took, most of them were horrible. Blurry. Dark. Or people had weird funny looks on their faces. Disappointing. She did some really fun gifts though. Diapers, pajamas and two outfits from Old Navy, picture frame, rattle, mirror, swaddling blankets, washcloths and some money for a video monitor.
The party itself was a huge hit though. Brynnly, Natalie, Amy, Dianne, Jill and Heather came with their little ones in tow. Lots of fun food was served and everyone stayed for hours talking and having a wonderful time. We had ham and swiss sandwiches, poppy seed salad, muffins, egg casserole, fruit salad, raspberry crostata and strawberries.
The kids had a great time downstairs playing and came up only to eat and drink and then went right back down. We hardly saw them at all for the four hour party.
It was fun to pull together stuff that I had from my cupboards and create a fun-colored table with decorations.
It's been fun getting to know the new mamas from Keaton's class and I think we will become great friends like Jacek's class did.
