After much debate and being very indecisive, we decided to road trip to Vernal and hang out with Cory's family for the 4th of July. We didn't even leave here until 12:30 and then stopped in Heber for a quick lunch at Wendy's. Arrived in Vernal around 3:30 and helped fix a yummy dinner at Sheri's house. Headed to the ballpark around 8:00 p.m. and let the kids run around and eat junk food until the fireworks started at 10:00.
It's a tradition for Sheri's family to bring a shrimp plate to the ballpark for them to share with their friends. Everyone loved it, especially Jacek and the girl cousins.
Keaton loved the glow sticks and everyone ate lots of junk food. It was a beautiful evening and it cooled off enough to snuggle under the blankets and enjoy the diamonds in the sky entertainment.
Looks like a fun impromptu trip! We actually did nothing for the 4th... Lame mom I was this year. Didn't get together with anyone for a BBQ even.. And it's just too hot to go drive around to fight the crowds trying to see fireworks!
