I brought my new camera and the video camera to St. George, by accident. They just happened to be in my car and my purse. However, I forgot all chargers and my nice camera. So mad at myself. Dad took these from the annual Easter Hunt at the country club. Had a great weekend. Beautiful weather. Gorgeous. We are just leaving to head up to Salt Lake City.
Keaton has had the "ick" since Tuesday morning. Fever. Chills. Throw up. Cough. Just not himself. Today he seems to be back to normal and is going stir crazy. He's not used to being cooped up at home for days on end. Neither am I.
Jacek had two Super League State Tournament games on Tuesday and Wednesday night. I was so bummed that I didn't get to go. I haven't missed one of his games, until then. They won two out of the three first round games, which put them in 2nd place within their division. Pretty good for a brand new team. Now they will play tomorrow night at 8:00 p.m. at Alta High School. They play a really good team, so it should be exciting. Win or lose, they have played really well. It's a big deal to say that you are one of the top eight 7th grade basketball teams in the state.
Cory bought me a new camera. It's brown. And it's so cute. He ordered it a couple of months ago and has been driving me crazy guessing what it could be. I love it!!!! Did I mention it's brown? Here's a picture of it.
The Jr. High team played their last game today. They played Olympus Jr. who, apparently, are in first place standings. The Varsity was slaughtered 88 to 20. YIKES!!! The JV made a decent showing, only losing by 20 points. It was a close game in the first half, but then, it quickly went downhill. Oh well! It was great experience and fun to be able to go the games each week. No more 5:30 a.m. wake up alarm! YEAH!!!
I love these shots I took of Jacek before the game started.
There's something about back and side shots that I just love.
The team got their warm ups this week. I love the colors and the grungy font they used for the basketball and the words, Wasatch Warriors.
But, my ultra-favorite part, is the monogrammed name on the hood. I love monograms!
Congratulations Jacek on a great basketball season. I am so proud of you and the way you grew and matured these past six weeks. I love you!
Cory came back on Friday afternoon from being in Australia the past 12 days. I think that's the longest business trip he's ever been on. The kids did great for the most part. I think having Grandma Wall come for 10 days helped. (Thanks for coming, Mom!) We were busy running here and there, so the time passed pretty quickly. It's good to have Cory home though, but we've been running ever since.
We went to the Taillacs for dinner and cards Friday night. Cory played basketball Saturday morning and then Cory and I went to a matinee play "Tristan and Yseult" at the Babcock Theatre up at the University of Utah.
Then we went to dinner at the new Cheesecake Factory. We had to wait two hours, but we just hung out at the Fashion Place mall until it was time. It really was a cool place to eat. Here's the description:
What Is The Cheesecake Factory?
The Cheesecake Factory serves much more than just cheesecake!
Walk through the front doors and you know you're in for something special! With French limestone floors and decorative columns, hand-painted fabrics, contemporary lighting and an abundance of cherry wood, the lavish decor is just the beginning…
The Cheesecake Factory is a unique, upscale casual dining restaurant offering more than 200 menu selections including Appetizers, Pizza, Pasta, Seafood, Steaks, Salads, Sandwiches, and more. Our menu also features specialty dishes like Chicken Madeira, Miso Salmon, Cajun Jambalaya Pasta, and The Factory Burger.
But save room for dessert! Try one of our 50 delicious cheesecakes and desserts such as our White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle® Cheesecake or our new Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake with a cappuccino or espresso.
Our server recommended the Chocolate Tuxedo Cheesecake and it was fabulous. Everything was really good. The service. The food. The atmosphere. I think it was actually worth the two hour wait.
Then, we got the kids from the DeBry's, including Eli and Eric, and came home for a sleepover. Finally, Cory took the boys with him to basketball this morning and then the big boys have basketball practice this afternoon. PHEW!!! Action-packed weekend!!!
