Ty and Chelsie got married in the Salt Lake Temple today. They were so cute with each other during the pictures. I took a few hundred, but these are some of my favorites.
Let the honeymoon begin!
Congratulations Ty and Chelsie. We wish you the best in your journey together as man and wife.
Now that things have settled down, I want to post some of my favorite moments and photos from Hawaii. I wasn't really in the picture-taking mood for most of the two weeks. I was trying to "just be" and not worry about taking pictures. I can get consumed with the "perfect photo shot" (whatever that is) and not enjoy the moment. The first pictures I took were two days into our trip when we went to one of our favorite restaurants on the island, Mama's Fish House. It's pretty expensive, so we treat ourselves once a trip. Mama's books up quickly, especially over the Christmas holiday. This was the only reservation they had for five people during our entire stay. It was on Friday evening the 21st of December at 4:30 p.m. which is really the best time to go because it's still light outside for great pictures.
Jacek and Grandpa took off first thing to the bar to get a drink because we had a few minutes before our reservation.
So, while Grandpa and Jacek were off getting drinks, I got "photo-happy" with Cory and Keaton. I loved the rowboat. Keaton's blue sweatshirt looked so beautiful against the blue boat.
My favorite picture series of Cory. I loved all three depths.
The one photo of me.
I loved the "snow scene" created from sand and rocks.
We had a nice dinner. Jacek had Tristan Lobster off the coast of Australia. He was really cute about it because he has a friend named Tristan. I think it was the most expensive item on the menu. Keaton ate all of his teriyaki chicken and rice. We all had fancy drinks and dessert, so we were stuffed when we left.
My Christmas is still out. I moved everything from under the tree and am sorting the gifts into piles. I think, as a kid, we used to put all the Christmas gifts under the tree until it was time to clean up. Not sure. Is that true, Mom? It seems like I've been doing it for as long as I can remember.
I had Shredded Wheat for breakfast this morning with a little Quaker Granola. A little because Jacek used most of it for his smoothie.
Jacek has been getting up around 6:30 a.m. this week to condition his body to wake up earlier. Next week is Jr. High basketball tryouts at 6:00 a.m. YIKES!!! So proud of him. He's even been running a mile on the treadmill. GO JACEK!!!
Trying to take one photo a day for the entire year.
Trying to have passion. (I think I picked a good word, because it's hard for me. This means I actually have to work at it.
Here's my photos so far.
I was taking photos of the Ty, Raegan, and Max with the *heart 2008* and then ocean shots in between. A woman came by and drew her peace symbol under my symbols and together they made *heart 2008 peace*. Loved it!
I got a full pedicure today downstairs at the salon. She was great! However, an hour later, I was running up the stairs to the 2nd floor and tripped. I stubbed my three right toes and my big left toe reeking havoc on my freshly painted nails. The pedicurist generously repainted them.
Our last day on Maui :(
Came back to snow!
First day back to preschool after three weeks off.
We just had a fabulous dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak House in Wailea. Listening to the fireworks outside on the beach. Counting down five minutes until midnight in Utah, since midnight here is three more hours away. Thinking about the new year and my one little word that I want to focus on and have as my beacon or light for 2008.
I was thinking about simplify and/or organize.
Such a practical word.
Then I decided to skip being practical this year.
I want PASSION.
PASSION for life.
PASSION for work.
PASSION for relationships.
PASSION for everything.
