This is what Jacek is sporting in the halls of Wasatch Jr. High this week. They are not allowed to have backpacks in any classrooms. Safety precaution. This binder he has is so big that it really won't fit in his backpack. Fortunately, his binder has a strap that he can use to haul it around from class to class. Unofrtunately, the $50.00 Swiss Army backpack we bought is not going to see the light of day at Wasatch Jr. High.
And it's so hot in the school that Jacek has to take his water bottle. Speaking of hot, I saw this on the KSL Weather page yesterday.
You'll be able to say to your grandchildren, "I lived through the summer of 2007”. They may not believe you, but I am here to confirm it. The summer of 2007 will go down in the record books as the hottest summer in the history of Salt Lake City. A weak storm system in California will move over Utah tonight and we will see scattered thunderstorms. This disturbance will bring slightly cooler temperatures tomorrow, but the heat will return over the weekend. A cool front is projected to bring us back closer to normal in the middle of next week. Can't wait for fall to come so it will cool down. For now though, I dreaming about blazing autumn leaves, cool crisp days, apples, pumpkins, and pinecones.
